Asana Evolution For Injury Prevention, The Pelvis

April 21, 2018 @ 14:00 - 17:00

Many injuries and degenerations in yoga don’t occur from a single event injury but are more likely due to repetitive movement patterns and poorly constructed postural practice, developing slowly over years or decades.

Injuries and pain in areas such as the knees, hips, pelvis and lumbar spine are preventable if we nurture the method and approach to yoga postures.

In this workshop we will learn how to create awareness for hip preservation, working with hip-pelvis-core, in a progressive and evolutionary approach to asana. We will work from the perspective of understanding our own unique anatomy, instead of a one size fits all approach. This workshop is for everyone who is interested in a safe and long asana practice.

What You Going to Learn

  • How to create awareness for hip preservation by understanding basic hip, pelvic complex anatomy
  • Your neutral pelvis.
  • Recalibration of asana’s impact on the knee, hip and pelvic floor
  • Hoe to work holistically with the respiratory and pelvic diaphragm
  • A systematic integration of the feet, hip, pelvis and spine
  • Embodying the new paradigm of softening is the new way of dynamic strength.
