Private Pilates – Yoga Sessions & Pain Management therapy

Private sessions provide the perfect setting to address and meet individual needs. They will help to gain confidence to attend group classes, improve posture,  deepen your practice, answer questions, or simply help you move deeper into the next step of your practice life.

Each session is unique and will depend on the person’s needs, limitations, abilities, and interests. The work format will vary from different techniques such as Pilates, Yoga, fascia release, or movement therapy as needed, these techniques will be put together in an intelligent sequence to achieve the desired result.

I need to hear the client’s history and interests in seeking help. Once on board, I will observe alignment, posture, movement, and breathing patterns to identify and have a map of specific areas to bring the natural equilibrium in the system

How Somatic Approaches Can Help with Pain Management?

The somatic approach will focus on movement education, highlighting our attention to body sensations and how we interpret the sensation, with a perspective that aims to enhance a quality of life in which one stays present, and mindful, even while moving: consciously acting.

Common themes with the somatic approach therapy are self-regulation, pleasurable movement, self-authority, validation of subjective experience, sensory exploration, play, and contemplation.

The somatic approaches will help the client to become aware of body signals and self-management of symptoms, enabling them to explore fear and pleasure of movement, within a safe environment, rather than chasing after individual symptoms, we uncover the underlying stress conditions that are the root cause of the dysregulation that causes the pain, identifying the stress conditions, which can then be effectively treated.

SOMATIC MOVEMENT EDUCATION

Somatic Movement Education and Therapy support homeostasis, co-regulation, and neuro-plasticity. Somatic Movement enhances human function and body-mind integration through mindful and restorative movement. My practices incorporate:

Postural and movement evaluation • Experiential anatomy • Guided movement pattering • Touch • Movement Explorations • Mindfulness. To increase efficiency; all while developing perceptual, kinesthetic, and proprioceptive sensitivity.
